Hello,

Patrick and Shirley are the East Dorset Animals at Home family. What made us do this? After trying to find a suitable place for our adorable Spinone to stay last summer whilst we were on holiday; we know how difficult it is to find just the right person.

We are fully committed to providing a professional service to the best of our ability and care, just as we would expect our own dog to be cared for. Our host families are also hand- picked for their enthusiasm, reliability and level of care.

We are fully insured and all the staff at Animals at Home are CRB checked. Our Ambulance/Pet Taxi is authorised by the State Veterinary service and approved by Defra and is fully equipped to transport your pets safely and comfortably.

After having a previous pet with Diabetes, we know how difficult it can be to find someone to look after them. Being Veterinary trained in Animal hygiene and handling we can take care of pets with special needs.

It's not only cats and dogs nowadays – parrots, rabbits, even bearded dragons (ours is called Snap!) also need care whilst you are away. We can arrange daily visits or look after them at home – our two responsible daughters love to look after an array of animals!
